- The CAP Flying Association is one of Connecticut’s oldest and most affordable ways to be fractional owner of 2 great aircraft.
- We are based at Hartford-Brainard Airport ( KHFD ) and currently operate a very well-equipped and meticulously maintained Cessna 172M ( N12766 ) and a Piper Archer ( N33121 ), fully IFR with a great paint schemes, interiors, and avionics packages (full ADSB, Garmin G5 electric instruments, autopilots)
- We are one of the region’s most simple flying organizations, with a reasonable buy-in, low monthly dues, low hourly rental rates, no rental minimums/maximums and flexible scheduling!
- We are also STUDENT FRIENDLY, meaning we welcome students as members and have CFIs available for them!
- There are no minimum (daily, weekend, monthly) hours
- Online scheduling of aircrafts allow for planning special events or trips
- Reserve any time, up to two months out.
- Reserve up to 13 days, with no minimums.
- Low Equity buy in $2500 (Refundable upon resignation)

- Airplanes are fully IFR equipped.
- Fuel arrangements, reservation assistance, and other services by our local FBO HJC make for convenient access to the airplanes.
- Members hold equal equity positions in the club, Buy in is refunded when member resigns
- Each member is a named insured on the policy provided by the club.
- Monthly meetings are held where we discuss club business and other flying stuff.
- Minutes of each meeting are sent to the members house via our online reservation system
- Club comradery with monthly meetings, flying outings in club planes, annual cookout meeting and annual family dinner/meeting.
- Members enjoy the camaraderie of friends who love flying and share their experiences.
- Reminder notices are sent to individual members when their medicals or biennial flight reviews are coming due.
- CFI, CFII & multi-engine approved club instructors available.
